The Book of Scribbled-out Words

21 May 2026

How I married the author

Is still a mystery to me

But I'm sure she wrote the book

On how best to love me

Sometimes when I am not feeling fine

She hands me

The Book of Scribbled-out Words

She tells me I need to reread the last line

Ohh I know what's coming and yet…

The Book of Scribbled-out Words has my heart soaring

As the revised last sentence in the book now says

I am her happy ending

This is why she is always my Rosetta Stone

When I don't know what's real

And I am struggling to find the right words

She translates exactly what I feel

She knows when I look for the answers

That's when she lays me down to read to me

Once more from

The Book of Scribbled-out Words

How I married the author

Is still a mystery to me

But I'm sure she wrote the book

On how best to love me

Sometimes when she is not feeling fine

I hand her

The Book of Scribbled-out Words

I tell her she needs to reread the last line

Ohh she knows what's coming and yet…

The Book of Scribbled-out Words has her heart soaring

As the revised last sentence in the book now says

She is my happy ending

In a home of love, there is no last word

If they own The Book of Scribbled-out Words

Trust me — for once again I see

She is once again rubbing out and writing something in
