I have Amphora daydreams
In the years hence
I can still smell hints
Of Amphora Brown
Mild cocoa and chocolate
Heavy air hanging over us
Living out your pretense
Of you being aware
Of you being there
For those who
Depended on you to care
How you loved
Queen Amphora
With nothing left
For you to give
Leaving all bereft
Smoke cluster bombs
Armed with
Amphora apathy
Stinging eyes
Searching for love
Chasing smoke
Family time
Was My Three Sons
Watched on
Amphora Brown
Smoke screens
A baccy pipe in hand
And Father Dempsey
Blessing their house
Sure made Fred look wise
If only the picture
This side of our
Nicotine-stained screen
Played out the same
I read Fred got
Throat cancer
Twice
Seems we all pay
The price
Living pipe dreams
I have Amphora daydreams
In the smoky mists of time
You said come let's play
Let me first put my
Pipe away
It's a bad habit anyway
I have Amphora daydreams
