We who love in the quiet

Are the study of Cymatics

Of visible sound

So many doubters

Believe no one can hear a silent heart

Blessed be his Divine Sound

The emotionally deaf

Hearing aids turned low

Can't answer the call

Or hear the voice of need

That beats loudly in

A silent heart

Flat static lines

Of Doppler ultrasound

Tone-deaf acoustic couplings

Surgical staff say

Your silent heart can't be detected

Its constant beating gets in the way

Glorious be his Divine Sound

Acousticians all agree

Our best technology

Can't answer the call

Or hear the voice of need

That beats loudly in

Never fear when you quietly shed a tear

There are many listening

To the sympathetic vibrations

All finely tuned to hear
