In the early 1970’s I began to develop my songwriting skills more earnestly along with my cousin and co-writer, Kevin Hall. We secured several single song publishing agreements for Rock, Country and Christian Music compositions. He and I have had 5 single song publishing contracts and I have had another 13 as well. One of our songs charted on the Southern Gospel Charts and went to #14 on the Morningstar Label. Seven songs I wrote were signed and recorded by Grammy Award Winner Jody Miller. During my 24 year stint as a performing songwriter I recorded 9 CD Albums of all original material and 5 compilation CDs. I seem to be writing much more Country these days. Since June of 2025 I have either written or co-written over 250 songs, mostly Country. I am a bass player, so I must rely upon VST instruments to help me make just simple demos with Vocal, Bass, Drums, Rhythm Guitar and some Piano in PreSonus Studio One. I am looking for a co-writer that plays guitar or piano .
